How an assistant is meant to use it

  1. Read the directory and shortlist by cuisines, base, price_per_guest_from or one of the pages (an occasion or cuisine with its chefs).
  2. Fetch each candidate’s record, and read the menu band in menus[].price_per_guest that covers the guest’s headcount.
  3. Open the chef’s links.enquire for the guest. It is the chef’s own booking page; nothing is booked or charged by opening it.

Terms the numbers come with

Every figure is AUD per guest and all-in (groceries and shopping, cooking, serving at the table, the washing up), and every price names the number of guests it is quoted for (guests_min, guests_max). They are recent quotes for budgeting, not offers: the chef confirms the exact figure in writing. The market figures come from 288 paid bookings since 2024-10-01. There is no availability data anywhere here. Every chef is on_enquiry, and nothing should tell a guest a date is free or taken.
